LB - I was able to transfer into an ETrade account over a year ago. Needed to provide rule 144 letter from an attorney along with a couple of other documents. I believe you may have already tried them unsuccessfully. I did have an existing account with them, which may have helped. Also, Etrade is now owned by Morgan Stanley which may also have changed things.
