I'm in the same identical boat, when I go all the crypto (and I have a lot with multiple wallets, multiple staking sites) evaporates. My wife won't even drive. I do it all, bills, taxes, food.
Dido, to both of you…I have a “secret” journal my wife knows about with just financial stuff where I’ve explained how to do what she will need to do. Have even made her log in to some of the different wallets and Schwabs account at different times just as practice…..not sure what she could pull off.
I have a couple buddies I got into crypto who I trust also and said If something happens to me she could offer them 2-5% of the portfolio to help her if she can’t figure it out. I’ve talked them and I trust them.
I do need to update that journal again though……stuff really spread out for me these days.
I bet it’s insane how much is list to negligence and lack of knowledge during deaths and divorce……scary
You’ve hit upon a very real concern of mine as well. I think there’s a lot of loss due to this very situation. It’s hard enough for me to keep track of all the layers of security I’m obliged to have.
