Great idea! The building thing is an interesting thought. MZ/Sensortecnics might want to think about offering a collaboration with contractors/building owners/cognizant public officials to start building a database recording movement activity to establish a baseline for various conditions/locations/building designs and sizes. (Similar to the work being done with the water utility pipes in the UK.) With real-time instrumentation and monitoring, that could be an incredible innovation to aid in the prevention of loss of life and property. It could revolutionize the coastal building business (maybe even non-coastal?) and add a new dimension of safety to the construction industry. If MZ has good patent and design protection, Sensortecnics/EGYF stock value could be breathtaking at some point! That technology could be applied all over the world….
I would assume the building industry has some sort of strain gage or transducer instrumentation on some buildings at least to measure movement so the idea isn’t new but the MZ technology might be light years ahead of the present instrumentation….
Maybe sometime should ask MZ if he has considered the idea?
