When you get to 70, if you have the opportunity to become rich, you take it. Better late than never, and money is always better than no money. Also, you start thinking about what to do with it. Scholarships, endow a chair at a college, give it to your old HS or college, give it to your town to do something for the people, or possibly give it to the Nature Conservancy to buy land. If you have kids then that kind of determines where it will go. I don't. No, I'm not planning to live to be 110, but since my father and many of my ancestors made it to 90, I would like to make it to that too, as long as I feel good up to then and can live in comfort.
