I believe the paper you cited was for the other polymedix drug, PMX-60056, aka delparantag, for reversing the effects of heparin.

They only discovered the "interference" of brilacidin effectiveness in cells by heparin from the recent PhD student thesis at Texas by DelGrado former lab member, which was only recently published in journal form. In terms of heparin mimicking HSPGs and binding up some of the cationic brilacidin so it couldn't block HSPGs on cells to block viral entry.

Farrell's calculations look good to me.
