Regarding my suggestion for a tender offer, here is HZ's reply from November 15

Dear xxx,

I will share with the board your ideas as a courtesy to you. However,
keep in mind that the company has long term goals and I can not reveal
whether this is or is not a part of these plans as that might be
considered revealing insider information.

The thing that keeps bugging me is, why is this a courtesy to me? If the idea is superior (and it definitely is) then it is important to pass on my idea on behalf of ALL shareholders, so that ALL shareholders can benefit.

There can be only 2 explanations, IMO

1) They are already considering it. And there is no need to pass it on, but he does it anyway, or
2) They have other plans. And he knows that my idea will not pass. But in this case, it is still not a courtesy to me, personally, is it? It's even more important to pass it on, on behalf of all shareholders.

Hmmm. Strange. We still don't know much.

But here is another thought, about insider information.

If a tender offer is not part of the plan currently, then it is not insider information to tell me. Right? It is only insider information if it is part of the plan. lol.
