Take a look at the date of SoundTech PR (July 15, 2021) and compare it to the date of the Bloomberg article (June 22, 2021).

When I read this statement:

Dolby, Sony Create New Patent Pool for ‘Earth-Shattering’ Audio - Bloomberg

Is it just me, or does Dolby’s “Earth-Shattering” claim some 20-days before SoundTech look a little stupid?


They hold 90% of the patents needed to implement the new MPEG-H 3D audio standard developed to create a three-dimensional sound.

SO, SoundTech claims a bridge between quantum computing and AI, and Dolby claims it holds a unworking three-dimensional software.

Help me out here...are we even comparing apples-to-apples?


My gut says SoundTech is sitting on something that is bigger than Dolby. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
