You are definitely correct in your skepticism. I have been so wrong for sooooo long. My point is that the nomination of a new FHFA Director is very important for GSE reform and will have a material outcome for all GSE stakeholders including any path toward the exit of Conservatorship. The nomination itself will start the balls rolling and a Consent Decree is probably our best hope for a near term resolution. Again - I have been a great fool for a long time believing in a fair and reasonable outcome that respects the sanctity of US capital markets and the rights and expectations of shareholders.
