A 12 month Contract, or a month to month Contract, pays out month after month after month after month etc... I have software that I subscribe to that I pay for monthly and I have a Contract that is by the year of which I pay for monthly. I would assume that these large Companies will obtain a service by the year if not by a 5 year contract and pay for them by the month. That is the normal way of doing business. I would not want to negotiate every month for the next month's Contract and I'm sure that they would want to lock in a price for as long as needed.
