"I hope so. If I'm not mistaken B has been around for well over a decade without a serious test of that theory and it has taken a pandemic to justify it"

Yes, you're correct. Like some others I have speculated re Brilacidin's potentially widespread anti-vial potentials because of a series of in vitro tests and scholarly articles. Based on this I've long harbored the hope that there was a wide-scoped "Tamilflu" future for Brilacidin. If the covid test is successful, at least one in vivo test will have been successfully completed. All the rest still seems based on hope, and not much else. The path from in vitro testing to an approved wide-scoped anti viral treatment is a long and harrowing . Even a successful test of Brilacidin for covid does not push IPIX very far down that Tamiflu-like road. Slowly, the wide-scoped anti-viral potential has slipped off my area of personal focus. It remains on IBD potentials, some OM potential, some anti-cancer potential with Kevetrin (as yet very far from much of anything). IMO LE's wide-scoped anti-viral concern does not amount to much of anything, but words and hopes.

mRNA vaccines have been in development for 20 years and it took a pandemic to finally justify rapidly targeting new viruses followed by safety/efficacy trials.
