Taking in the reality - Brazil is about to get a shock as critical patients (on vents or ECMO) respond in a way their medical people have never encountered before.
This certainly isn't June 2021 when we expected the C 16 trial to begin, but the first patient (according to CytoDyn's news release today) just started their treatment - I just hope the first one wasn't part of the placebo group. Seeing the rapid turnaround that's been encountered with our anecdotal patients, would probably inspire the Brazil med folks to expedite enrollment.
My one concern is - I hope AE has adequate security to insure there is no tampering with any part of this trial. Strangely, I think Leronlimab will do its thing and rapidly start helping its patients, I'm more concerned about "the possibility of others doing their thing to make things go "pear-shaped."
A lot is at stake.
