I guess because folks have already lost the lions share of their investment in this company. What’s worse? losing the small remaining investment, or pulling out, the stock sky rockets, and you’re stuck with mere pennies..It’s just a question of what scenario/decision you’re willing to live with. You don’t have to “understand it”, that’s just the reality of what’s happening.
