They received 2 billion dollars. They knew they would receive 2 billion. They already had the mRNA vax ready to go, except for the specific protein spike. They received it before human trials, they received it after, what does it matter? They knew they would receive the money same as Moderna already had. Even AZ had a lock because they were 10 years into viral vector technology.

The Pfizer vaccine uses the exact same patents as Moderna. In fact every Covid Vaccine uses the same NIH patent and all the subpatents owned or referenced by NIH. The actual part of the Covid-19 vaccines that confers immunity to the person is identical in every vaccine. The difference between the vaccines is how the mRNA is delivered to to your cells. So to say that Pfizer used their own money to bring us their version of the NIH vaccine is not the whole truth. How much money has Pfizer spent to license the patents? Seems quite a gift from US tax payers, add in the PREP Act liability shield, and seems like pure profit for Pfizer. Wish IPIX could get some of that tax payer help.
