Actually, I have a pretty significant “grasp of the US legal system” and I did not get it from watching Law & Order. I’m not saying it will happen but prosecutors have significant authority and latitude when using that authority. There is a reason for the old saying that a good prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

It also gets philosophical though. Does any medicine save lives or just delay death? Is it a crime to prevent something that delays death? Is preventing the delaying of death the same as causing death?
It gets trickier if you substitute "delays death" with "prolongs life".



So I guess there no reason for anyone to ever take any medication? Riiiiight…. The actions of Mako and his ilk have and are causing suffering and killing people. I sincerely hope that they get what they deserve in this life and the next.
