Ships and giggles begins at the 34:50 mark.....It's

really a must hear, but I understand the whole thing is hard to listen to.

At that mark Joy asked the question of all questions, and Kyle put on a most brilliant display of stupidity, and not one shareholder has voiced concern, which is very telling.

Joy asked if Spain could lay claim to any treasure they found, and Kyle said that they could, which is true. He went on to say such a lawsuit wouldn't have merit because 1) thanks to Mel Fisher, the Supremes ruled the ship was abandoned because Spain never came back to salvage it, and 2) that SFRX couldn't determine the origin of the wreck. So if SFRX couldn't determine the origin of the ship, how could Spain figure out the origin?

To a novice I guess that sounds really good.

Yet Seafarer claims on their website their primary targets are Spanish galleons. For years they've suggested they were on the trail of the Concepcion. In July 2016, Kyle even said they were ON THE WRECK. He later said it came to rest at the bottom of a hill, only to recant that.

The SFRX shit show was on Expedition Unknown and Dr. Baer suggested the Concepcion wreck was at Melbourne. He even wrote a paper pushing that narrative. After diving on a piece of a wood beam, Josh Gates pretended to be excited and asked......HAVE WE JUST FOUND THE CONCEPCION?

Now all of a sudden they can't identify the origin? Heck, they predetermined it's origin years ago. Torres was all over the news claiming it was the Concepcion and the wreck was worth $4B. Kyle has made the same claims.

But back to Kyle's answer to Joy's question. If the wreck was considered abandoned, why would Spain need to identify it?

And if SFRX can't identify the (ahem) wreck, how would they know it was considered abandoned? Because even if you take Kyle's flawed and outdated Court reference, he said to Joy that warships were exceptions to the ruling.

In a podcast last year Craig Huffman said ONLY warships would be off limits, which isn't true. All of Spain's ship are off limits.

Regardless, all Spain would have to say using SFRX's own words is.....we have a warship on Melbourne and SFRX would have to prove them wrong. And we ALL know the FBAR would side with Spain.

SFRX really has a quasi legal team, but at least they're warming up to the notion of a pending lawsuit if by some miracle they found something that isn't there.

I remember folks telling us AFTER they found treasure they would go work out a deal with Spain. I guess that's off the table now (wink wink).

Hear it all, at the 34:50 mark.
