Any use of the products as a medical device would require FDA approval after clinical testing. They will need a production model to use in those clinical tests.

I personally believe that once they have a working production model, it’s all downhill from
there. Reports of accuracy seem very good, and the tech poses no danger to the patient so FDA approval shouldn’t be a problem.
