And Putin? What does he care for the FDA? Something, since his country has drug trials.

Does he care enough to discover the results of the B v C trial?

Konyeschno. Of course. He's gonna let his people perish? Hospitals fill?

Not even a chance. Zero.

He peeked at the data so very long ago who's counting even-

Thanks for making your point using a relevant public discussion. Very refreshing.
That said,Merck DID "go to bat for their own drug" in the PR that announced the trial results (which spoke for themselves).
https://www.merck.com/news/merck-and-ridgebacks-investigational-oral-antiviral-molnupiravir-reduced-the-risk-of-hospitalization-or-death-by-approximately-50-percent-compared-to-placebo-for-patients-with-mild-or-moderat/

No pompoms needed. Just the facts, ma'am.

The IPIX CEO will have his chance to do the same thing soon enough, if he can. Meanwhile there's nothing to hoot and holler about.
The FDA simply requires the truth in any public disclosure...it should be a low bar.

Makery obviously hadn't read Merck's (rather positive) PR properly when he said:

"A 50 percent reduction in the death rate, an oral pill with a simple 5-day course."

In reality in this study, the group receiving the Merck drug had no deaths - an infinite reduction.

What he meant to say, I expect, was:

"molnupiravir reduced the risk of hospitalization or death by approximately 50%"

I don't expect much from Fox "News" or its guests, but they really should do better than this.
