That ton of "material" is the carbon. It can be re-used. It doesn't get destroyed in the process. My understanding is that it's clean and ready when then process is complete. I doubt seriously that Mexus negotiated a sweetheart deal and Sipi has been doing this for years, for many customers. I'm sure Sipi planned for proper disposal of any contaminates and built that into their fee.
