99% of short selling volume does not go thru "smart order" routing with the brokers. Smart Order trades don't make their way thru FINRA, so the short volume never gets recorded properly. There are billions of shares shorts on AABB right now, and maybe less than a fraction actually on the books with FINRA for us to see. I always chuckle when I see a fund get caught, they deserve it
