Is it a serious consideration to use more of the Holy Grail of Textiles (Spider Silk) for design SAMPLES? I would have to join the bastion of KBLB pitchfork-bearers if they used up any portion of SS Inventory without having designs firmly in place first.
Exactly, we have been told the cost to produce spider silk is comparable, but the potential value of the end product is not comparable. In my opinion the original poster's theory is valid. Why use a potentially more valuable product at this point in time, when it a compatible lower value substitute can be used? Seems like a smart business decision to me.
