Remdesivir is not a vaccine and vaccines are incredibly safe barring minuscule % of SE which too are not life threatening. May be you meant anti-virals on your last line of the message ?

Not sure why you are making a screed against modern day medicine. Remdesivir was originally developed to battle Hepatitis C. It showed some anti-viral properties against COVID-19 in vitro so was rushed into usage early in the COVID pandemic because doctors had no weapons to fight it. The WHO recommended it not be used after data accumulated.

As far as Ebola, the death rate can approach 90%.
