If you will look in the filings you will see that in June 2021 Mr. Brown issued a secured promissory note and got an advance of $500,000 for hpil. Don't know what Hpil has got to secure it except for shares. But not just spending out of his pocket. Did't say how much total the note was for so he may not be spending any out of his pocket.
