in my county of 60k in central NY which is in the lower 1/3 of NY rates- we are having 14-30 new cases a day- a breakdown of cases in the last month is 52% unvaccinated and 48% vaccinated.
that it is widely being touted that breakthrough cases are rare or like 1% of cases is absolute bullshit.
yes, we need more vaccinations and that will keep more out of the hospitals.
meanwhile though, that is not happening and hospitals continue to be overwhelmed, see Idaho today.
I am not blaming anyone but solutions require many tactics-the vaccines are key, masking, testing and therapeutics also all are too. by ONLY focusing on vaccines, we are in the situation we are, where vaccinated are now getting and spreading covid, and soon no one can go the hospital for any reason
and tennisboy just still saying if only everyone would get vaccinated... lenzilumab too doesn't solve everything, but it could help alot for sure.
