Just to add, this was clearly being dumped well before Ben even posted the letter as some people saw the LOI earlier and with zero clarification it was a little panic. This had been trading mid teens prior to all this.
I CAN buy BABL at Schwab - I just have to call in the order. Same for all the other stop sign stocks - I can buy through 9/28 if I call a broker.
Given that today is the Friday before the Labor Day weekend which is one of the very best days of the year to have a lowball order on a penny stock fill, I have called in several orders today (not BABL). It is a pain but I am hoping someone will bail and some shares will fall to me on stop stocks I have some confidence in and am willing to hold through a period of illiquidity.
Hopefully Ben can provide more clarity re: BABL next week.
