Our positions are now flipped. I side with the federal employees here and applaud them heartily as they believed enough in their opinion on how the vaccine tests should be done on kids (and from what I gather the woman leading he FDA vaccine division is/was THE world guru on vaccine development with over 32 years of experience)to lay their careers on the line and quit.
Wonder why other fed employees didn't do the same when they weren't listened to as most seem to do whatever they are told to keep their jobs and benefits, knowing that the new incoming administration people (this includes both sides of the aisle, nothing for or against either side intended) would be gone in a few years and yet they as fed employees would be around forever.
Simply as an illustration of what I mean, the recent Afghan evacuation was not viewed favorably by most all Americans and yet we hear Biden say it was a unanimously backed plan by the Joint Chiefs of Staff while some in the military say it was a non-military decision. I would have thought at least one Chief of Staff would have resigned if he truly disagreed with the plan but to date nothing has been done so one has to assume they were on board with the plan. Result is lots of questions for the public.
These FDA folks that resigned left no doubt where they stook on the issue.
