Let me modify your quote slightly to 'Selective Gov't inaction and slow-walking," and private greed. When they combine, and hurt most, not all'

My example would be the failure of Pfizer and Moderna, for example, to quickly license Indian drug manufacturers, of which there are plenty, the short term license to provide hundreds of billions of free/low cost doses of covid vaccine to be used in needy India and Africa, for example. Many people would be saved and the virus would have less chance to replicate and mutate, to paraphrase Osterholm, Fauci, Poland and all of the other experts. But no, the companies, which have benefited by years and years and billions and billions of federal support have decided to squeeze every last drop of profit from the world. They are worthy of our respect for their brilliance at product development and our disgust for their greed. Playing in this reality, with a potentially effective covid treatment is tough for IPIX, tough for everyone.

Kfcyahoo...interesting observations regarding "protocol" and waiting times being used generally and specifically in current clinical just ended for Brilacidin/Covid-19...who is in control.

I suspect it's a combination of things that seem to appear the US has been tipping the bow toward the water for years. Gov't greed, and private greed. When they combine, society suffers. That happens, and hurts MOST, not all.

Requests can be made by pharma companies, and I'm sure reasonable requests are considered. I believe BP is beyond greedy, and over rated. The days of Banting and Best, and their ilk, are long gone, and the managers of BP are the primary reason the atrocious health care costs and availability of it to many are limited.

Ostensibly the sponsor is in control, subject to review and approval by FDA...but it is a "stick and carrot" relationship...with the ultimate control (approval of clinical trial)...its all about the FDA control and not "disappointing" them or getting "out of step" along the way. IMO, small pharma must "comply" or suffer consequences (see CyCD), BUT BIG PHARMA...shmoozes FDA...and you get sudden "outside of protocol" approvals like Remdesivir.

Another prime example (and evidence) of questionable and "influenced" oversight and truth is the curtailment of free discussion...evidence the challenging the official cause of origins of Covid-19..."Forbidden"
"Conspiritorial"! ... etc.

Now...the "facts" known before ... are finally "permitted" to be expressed...what does that say about those containing the "facts"?
