Ever read ZEN and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance?
It's been years since I last read it, at one point I had 2 copies, no idea why, now I have no copies, no idea where they went.
Anyway, the guy's job was pretty much what you did, I think.
My favorite part of the book, and a quote I'll never forget is when he was working on a Japanese manual which started with
"Before beginning any project, one must first have peace of mind."
