Agree,but he does needs to play ball on both sides. Apes to jack the stock up, HF/mm to sell for co. in block form. one good thing, aa has very few co.shares to sell if any. Now his exec team, they line there pockets with some serious cash. We apes gave them a windfall they should be working there ass's off and show some serious gratitude.

Aren't many short positions executed explicitly as derivatives? Also illegal naked short sales have characteristics of margin trading (share recall), leverage (rehypothecation), and futures contracts (covering) all in one transaction, and are highly derivative.

Not gonna opine whether AA is "pure" enough of an ape, but his statement is nonetheless rather loaded.
