all you have to do is read it to know the fix is in..."compensate taxpayers for their support".

There is no settlement and the taxpayers were never at any time at risk of loss. The fix was, is, and always will be firmly in place.

The solution was very simple. Instead of shareholders paying tens of millions to inept lawyers they should have made political contributions to the lawmakers instead. $1 million per senator $500k per house rep = ~ $320 million. If these companies are to be valued at $50 billion a piece that's a great return.
