If the SEC and other government agencies want to serve the good of the public, they should spend their time eliminating all the kinds of “side bets“ that are permitted in the stock market

Shorting and options and other nonsense. It should be simple, if people are interested in a company they buy it shares and the stock price goes up, if the company is not doing well investors will sell their shares and the price goes down.

SIMPLE.

Borrowing shares to then sell them at lower than market value to drive the price down so you can cash out later?!?! I mean seriously??? WTF!!!
