I had a moment of time and contacted them as well. LOL
- I was told that a name and symbol change typically takes 3-4 weeks.
- A company has a 90-day window to submit any paperwork that FINRA asks to receive back -- if that time is missed, then a new submission must be filed.
- She confirmed that there is no way to see when a company filed, if it has filed, what paperwork may or may not be necessary, or if it is currently in progress. I asked directly, "So, we essentially just have to wait and keep refreshing the FINRA daily change site to find out when it changes?" -- To which she replied, "Unfortunately, yes."
So, we all know that they have been working on this for a while. If we treat it as a worst case scenario (timewise), then we could assume that the request was submitted likely the Monday or Tuesday after the share transfer was updated. That puts the submission date the week of August 9, which then is looking like September 3, would be the end of the 4th week -- this is assuming all paperwork is proper and it was only submitted on 8/9/21.
I hope for all of us that it was submitted sooner, and that there were no follow ups requiring additional documentation. Either way, every day is one day closer!
