Yes, I saw the rumor. I did a lot of thinking about this last night and decided to liquidation LMC before the split happens on 2/5. I can always buy it back at lower price. I am building back my HBM position these days. Colin Benner opened the door for Peter Jones to become the new CEO.
I believe it will be probably like what happened to EZM. The company LMC is buying will go crazy one day, then you know.

kipp440

Hbm.to and LMC are my 2nd and 4th biggest positions. I would probably prefer the transaction go the other way around and have Hudbay control. LMC mgmt is probably more aggressive and definitely more geographically diversified(but in Russia?) but I trust Hudbay mgmt. Pretty conservative, low p/e, Cash Machine performance, solid as a rock. Assets in politically safe Canada.

We'll see how it goes. In a typical transaction like this, the acquirer's stock goes down and the acquiree's stock goes up. That's probably a wash for me so no big expectations of gains if it happens. Definitely would lighten up if it happens and spread the money to smaller players.
