I’ve already answered that, Mickey even quoted Shakespeare, “Whereof what's past is prologue”, i.e., history sets the frame of reference for the present. The past cannot be erased, no matter how much it’s wished it was. Most often the revelation of the past, while it may be unpleasant, is beneficial in the end. No reason to claim it didn’t happen.
