<<<Basserdan, in all your perusals, have you found an explanation of gold and silver prices dropping in the face of record setting spending, budget deficits and inflation?>>>

Hi VH Gambler...
Not one that I can easily hope to explain here, VH Gambler, but I will recommend that you check out the free 2 week (10 days) trial sub that is available at GATA Bill Murphy's LeMetropole Cafe and when there, zero in on his James Joyce Table

I hope this helps...

Gambler, my favorite Wall Street Week with Lou Rukeyser was in the mid 90's and he had a gold expert as his special guest. He asked him early on where he thought gold prices were going and he said, "I have no idea, or such". So with laughter Lou asked him, "Then what good are you?"
The guest went on to say that he checked out all the angles, such as increases in inflation, raises or drops in interests rates, etc., and he found no correlation of any factor and gold prices in the short or mid term. Again, Lou said, "Then what good are you?" The man said, "I look for gold miners who are increasing production, lowering cost or such. Lou ask him who he liked and he said Barrick Gold(then American Barrick Gold). Three years later, Barrick was about the only gold up and nicely, but I don't remember the exact amount, maybe a double.
