If one has been around long enough, they would know all ETFs long and short are by design, on a path to eventually drift to a negative return (aka zero) due to decay, expenses, rebalancing contract swaps, etc.

been plenty research papers over the years on the topic, huge lucrative market for proshares, direxion, hence reverse splits, gotta keep those ETFs alive and dollars flowing

all ETF prospectuses state ETFs are a way to gain daily exposure ...technically shouldn't be held longer than a day
