Bob, I use IE7 and do not encounter any of the problems described. It works fine and I stay logged on. FWIW.

Umm, sorry to lose that sound
and working without your cookies
is a bugger .. I know.

The only thing at the moment is that when I read
messages they disappear when I'm clicking NEXT,
but replys read inside don't disappear from the in-box.

Works sometimes a feel, but mostly not.
