Plaintiffs wanted SCOTUS review because 5th said no retrospective relief. SCOTUS said no prospective relief. Both are dumb, but yeah, SCOTUS certainly made things worse with their ridiculous interpretation of the lawsuit and the statute.

100% correct. Any novice apolitical judge would have done a far superior job.

God only knows how such a SCOTUS ruling will set precedents for future cases in lower courts.
