Really if the GAME was truly on, the 500 pt gap down on the broad markets would not have buckled it. The GAME got turned off that Wednesday evening, and really the morning was just the continuation & the beginning of the new slide down.
How does it look that the patents they are suing on, they are being sued for essentially theft of intellectual property? There's a bit of goodwill that gets lost with patent trolls, but this is on a whole other level. The public markets generally frown on patent trollers -until they get a payout, then new chapters begin and the cash windfall rolls in-happy times. But with this suit, it would appear that whatever they recover may have to be parceled out to the owner/creator of the IP. Either way, those large companies will not settle for years & they have the capital to bleed Engine out. Maybe they get it to last so long in courts the patents expire LOL
Lockton will now get help with this lawsuit from the true giants [DKNG/Flutter/etc ] The enemy of thy enemy easily becomes friends. He truly is in the driver's seat, obviously they[GAME] seem to think the patents are worth money, and have for years now. This is not anything new, but there was a failure then to persue, and now after the grand larceny, it off to the courts on all fronts. You take a man's life work in that manner, there's little chance he'll come on board. Gonna have to pay the man, but he now has no reason to accept any payment when the future will dictate what it's worth in the courts..Just my thoughts, don't mean much.
Look, the lawyers will eventually get the pound of flesh. 2027, 2030,2035,...when they say go long, patent cases are just that. If they ever get GAME to bleed to a possible delisting,,I will be a buyer there, or maybe at 1.5x sales. These roads are long & winding. I wish you the best on it, but there are a lot of unhappy people in 2 countries on this ticker, and all thought & were told this was the best/next thing coming!!
