I would say that can be also true as when a stock is hot, you can begin to bring it down to accumulate. And shorting is one of those ways. It brings a stop to the run in theory.
But none of that will apply much here as there are very few shares available and not many willing to sell cheap now.
That money maker was more of a speed bump that kept the run from continuing short term. They tried several times with small speed bumps. It did impact the price but not significantly.
Sill trying but having to move up now. When news hits, they could be screwed big time!
