That's why - if you have less than a 10,000 share bid, then they can fill you at a price above the actually bid but below your bid.

That happened to me yesterday. I put in a morning bid in the 6s because the of crazy morning dip the day before, assuming it probably wouldn't get executed. But it was executed immediately so I went to look at the current price which was at .02. I was like awe man what just happened but then I looked at my order details and it executed at .03 Ok I thought I'm not down all that much but then it jumped back up to 70s which have my attitude a big boost lol.
