I don't think MM need to manipulate this. Low volume swings are wild. It's not like the sky is falling just because somebody needed cash near the open today and dumped shares into the only bid, a low one. Could have been somebody having a margin call or any number of random reasons.
Volume has been decent today, with a new recent high of just over .11. That's good.
When volume picks up, the bid ask spread tends to narrow. My hope is some of the recent buying is people knowing some good things are in the works.
