You should look into the Skyworth/Skywell story, it’s quite interesting. Skyworth was founded by brothers Huang Hongsheng and Huang Peisheng in the 1980’s. The company makes mainly televisions and related products. The brothers were arrested and put in jail in 2004, after trying to embezzle millions of dollars from the Skyworth company (with the help of their mother!). Both were released again in 2009 or 2010. Huang Hongsheng still owned 40% of Skyworth, but couldn’t return to the company because of restrictions placed on his business dealings.
Instead he bought a stake in bus manufacturer Nanjing Golden Dragon in 2012, at that point a joint venture between Nanjing Dongyu and Xiamen King Long (a large bus maker), and it became a subsidiary of what is now Kaiwo Automobile (Skywell).
