The FHFA is a unnecessary government bureaucracy actually funded by the GSEs. When the government NATIONALIZED (and yes the hell it did) the GSEs, they replaced the BODs and managements with government selected people.
So, think about it. The government is NOT going to fight the government.
All the individuals you use to remember being associated with the GSEs are chained to the walls in the dungeon under the U.S. Capitol.
