https://twitter.com/MedRecyclerRI/status/1377622389375262737 Local politicians introduced legislation that would prohibit new, high-heat waste processing facilities in RI. The bill won’t apply to us. For the record, Medrecycler has been working closely with DEM for over 2 years in order to open our safe facility. ow.ly/8r2x50DUbjC
Didnt see anything mentioned about banning or prohiting the Facilities either
"it is illegal to pass a law in response to a specific business in order to specifically stop THAT business."
Seriously doubt the state would promote, package and pass a law targeted towards a single entity business - at least not overtly so.
I do wonder what the impact could be to the DEM decision that I believe is due by 7/15. Will it be delayed? Are they now even allowed to make a decision if the law is passed? Is the law even applicable to SNPW - didn't SNPW indicate new legislation wouldn't be applicable to them etc?
this is all about protecting existing med recycle/disposal business. There are a few big names in RI who have the Gov and AG in their back pocket. Now watch the media blitz they put on to support their hype... high heat. BS. They choose to ignore the science. Where have we seen this before? The only thing green is cash. They careless about the environment or new technology. If it gets in the way of the power apparatus it will suffer a battle. However, science will bring this about. So a juicy court battle would bring in scientific testimony. But judges are the most corrupt of all. Have we seen this before in our long lives?
