I haven't seen any updates on it, but they put out a PR on 12/22/2020 saying the sbfm-pl4 compound seems to be effective of the variant out of southern UK. I'm assuming that was referring to the Delta strain, but it isn't named, possibly because they hadn't named it at that point.

Also they haven't actually developed a pill yet, just the compound and preliminary testing, so we don't really know. I believe they speculated in the PR that it would be effective against the variant based on what they knew without any mice or human testing. So it's pretty much a wait for the next PR about it and see.

I think I read that humans can't get the gamma variant.
