I agree with your sentiments that it is important what the customer thinks. For example price, if I get all you can use data for $10-15 on Sprint, what is it on ATT and Cingular and Voicestream? I am pretty sure it is at least twice that (at Voicestream) and there are per meg prices at ATT and Cingular. This matters. Why don't the reviews mention it?

As far as speed, it may be indistinguishable from a consumers point of view on a web page that takes 2 seconds to download anyway on a 56 k modem. I.e. 2 vs 3 seconds might be hard to tell the difference on but the rate is still 50% faster on CDMA. It may also just be the handsets used in the example and an absence of any uploading in the test. Also no data in the test. I use my handset hooked to a computer occassionally. I would notice 30 kbps vs 60 kbps downloading e-mail. Why isn't that in the test?

As you can see, I am still in denial. <ggg>

I look for more of these reviews and tests as the Treo600 comes out. I hope people will post more contrasts here. I was shocked by the Forbes review, but I am still looking for some more reviews that may give some added weight to "what the customer thinks".
