Ever been a foreman of high profile job where dozen of people are asking you when, when, when and you have to go to your subs and ask when, when, when. They say to you if everything goes well....
Nobody get their expectations crushed if they wouldn't pester every minute for something they have no control of.
There's pressure from diligent people and then there's kids want new toys
diligence

The whole "man of his word" thing ended for me last Saturday night at 11:59 p.m. Sorry. I'll wait, but I have chosen to disregard any comments from management. They clearly do not know. I wish they could man-up and say it. Something like: "I spoke to the head of our accounting firm, and she informed me that they should have everything uploaded by 6/21. There were a few adjustments that had to be made regarding currency exchange rates from 3 countries."

It is interesting that somehow they know that we will be 'very, very happy' with the results, but they don't actually have the results yet!

Completely agree. He is the CEO, he runs the company (not his accountants) and his words should carry actual meaning. No more hiding behind ‘they told me’ and other’s actions if it doesn’t come out today.

If he is a good leader and man of his word, he will make sure that happens or there is no way people will ever be able to trust him. Especially after what happened the last two weeks.
