Well, thoughts, prayers & concerns were and are much appreciated for my niece's husband, he is doing well considering 2 days of back surgery. As I understand it, and please consider that I really do not know a lot nor understand a lot, from retired transportation guy/truck driver to surgeon is quite a leap. OK, from what Alicia was telling me, I gather that some of the disc in his back were gone, then the bones grew together (fused themselves together), so I understand the separation required the doctor had to his thing from the back, then finish his work from the front or through Jim's side, after separating the bones spacers of some sort had to be put in where the disc use to be....how many I do not know, I do not do well talking with someone about this stuff. BUT, last night Jim was doing ok, he was eating some Freezy Pops, I suppose that is like a popsicle , and was HI as a kite due to the meds. I have called on the
Folks on the Bible Board more than once for prayers when I was going in for surgery and I KNOW prayer helps, big subject there. I told Alicia about the Bible Board and how Jim had prayers lifted from the north boarder to the south boarder and from one ocean to the other ocean, now they do not have the faith that many here do, but when I told Alicia about the Bible Board and y'all offering prayers for Jim, a complete stranger, her face lit up like a Christmas Tree......I feel we planted a seed.

I do have something that has been heavy on my mind for sometime-----What in organized religion is it that turns people off? I am not placing the blame on the churches, each person has their personal devil causing them to drift away, yet, if the church"s message is not Jesus Christ and the messaged is mixed in with PC, then we have a problem. I often ask the question of such people----What is it about the church that turns you off? I need to start keeping notes. Like I said heavy on the mind. But a problem can never be fixed it no-one ever addresses the issues at hand....maybe it boils down to each Christian walking the walk in their daily lives, I jus don't know, maybe the average Christian has become lax & lazy and jus passes the sharing of the telling of God's grace to the preacher & teachers.....Then I wonder if the churches have taken the responsibility of sharing the good news out of the hands of everyday folks, because higher ups in the church believe average Joe just ain't qualified...Like I said I jus don't know. But I do know our churches are not handling the storms very well

God Bless
