In actual news, the water wars have heated up... There is a big scuffle between farmers, native americans, and fish afficionados in the far north california/oregon area. Of course, the Bundy crime mormons are involved in a piece of land that was purchased in the disputed area to give them a reason to claim victimhood, and call for rebellion.
The nightly news on NBC has a piece a couple of times a week on drought conditions in the west. It could rain for 40 days and nights and I don't think it would help out.
