My opinion is that Nvidia raising the AS is both good and bad.

Good that Nvidia probably has expansion plans and that having more shares available to use gives them more "powder" to accomplish that.

The bad part is that the market cap will be lower. Once much of the authorized share base becomes outstanding, the stock will move more ponderously.

And if business turns against them, it will be tough to perform an RS to get the AS back down to a more manageable size.

Just my opinion though.
